Welcome to the Alumni Association
Wednesday, May 13, 2015
The Sewall Center arena was packed for Robert Morris University’s 90th commencement ceremonies, where almost 900 students earned their bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees. President Gregory G. Dell’Omo gave the valedictory speech at the undergraduate ceremony as he presided over his final commencement weekend. The university presented Dell’Omo with his own Student Engagement Transcript and renamed the Renaissance Award the Gregory G. Dell’Omo Renaissance Award.
Christopher Kelley, president of the Class of 2015, also spoke at commencement, talking about the relationships the senior class built and why they are excited to come back to campus as alumni
“One of the biggest things I learned and tried to implement into my speech was making life-long friendships during our time at RMU,” said Kelley. “The reason I’m excited to come back to campus for Homecoming, sporting events, and other alumni events is because I’ll get to see the people I grew together with. When I started my freshman year, I wasn’t sure Robert Morris was the place for me, but now I realize that it was the only place that was right for me.”
