Mike Jandrasits ’09 is passionate about Robert Morris University athletics. His wife’s wedding gift to him was a 1921 Club membership, he named his beagle RoMo, and all of his friends and coworkers call him "the mayor of Moon." RMU runs through his veins.
Mike is a legacy, and followed the footsteps of his mother, Joan Tambellini Jandrasits '74, who attended the downtown campus. Having received his B.S.B.A. in sport management, Jandrasits now works for the University of Pittsburgh athletic department as financial operations coordinator for the Panther Club, where he oversees the day-to-day financial operations and database management.
Jandrasits says he is amazed by how much Robert Morris continues to grow, even though he has experienced that expansion firsthand. "My class was the first class to start living in the Holiday Inn," he remembers. "The first two floors were students, and the rest of it was a normal hotel." Today the entire building, now renovated and renamed Yorktown Hall, is dedicated to university housing.
"Campus has changed so dramatically from the time I attended to now," Jandrasits says. "RMU is leaving a heavy footprint and a lasting legacy throughout the country."
