Jesse Anderson '05 put in long hours of course work needed to receive his degree in economics and finance. He showed the same dedication at Snider Advisors in Dallas, where he started in an entry-level position and rose to become the president and CEO, working hard overseeing retiree investment accounts for his clients.
Despite the classes, group projects, and countless hours in the library, Anderson always made time for intramural sports. "You name it we played it," he says. "It was exciting picking up the student newspaper every Monday morning and seeing how everyone did across all the intramurals."
He was easy to find on campus, living in the residence halls all four years and working as an R.A. for two in Adams and then Ross Hall.
"Those four years were some of the greatest times and the greatest memories and RMU gave me that," says Anderson. "I wish Pittsburgh was closer. If I could pick it up and move it closer to me, it would be so much better."
Fortunately for him, sometimes RMU picks itself up and moves closer. Anderson says he loved having a personal "executive summit" this year with Chris Howard when RMU's new president made a visit to Dallas.
