As the owner of four Fox's Pizza Den franchises, including the newest location in Moon just a few minutes from her alma mater, Danielle White '06 loves coming back to campus to deliver pizzas and find familiar faces. "For 14 years I have watched RMU never settle," says the CEO of DNWhite Enterprises. "It just keeps growing and improving. It's exciting."
A hands-on owner, White likes to spend time in the stores and does not mind jumping behind the counter to help make a pizza. As a way to give back and stay connected to the university, she has made her Fox's Pizza Den in Moon the official pizza sponsor of Colonials athletics.
White, who lives in Robinson, recently hired an RMU marketing student as an intern. She was a marketing major herself, and worked in project management for Micros Systems before becoming her own boss. She is also a partner with current senior Samantha Alt in a screen printing company called FitPrints, which makes custom shirts for clients including Alt's sorority, Delta Zeta.
In her free time, White enjoys teaching spin classes. Last year she was named one of Pittsburgh's 50 Finest by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for her community involvement. How involved? She once rappelled off a building in support of Our Clubhouse, a nonprofit that provides free emotional and social support to those affected by cancer in western Pennsylvania.
